meetings (7 out of 7)
- A BBL-supplied Burns Supper, and homemade coffee cake.
- Attended the TAG not-face-to-face. This was fun. But SO much to read.
- Spent 18 hours, and 31 minutes in meetings.
- Handed in my rental notice. Time to move! Closer to the sea, further from cars.
- Spent the weekend deep cleaning the new place, and... finding faults.
Get more coffee, go for a pee, be on time for the next meeting. Choose any two of the three.

How is being on the W3C TAG affecting my home life? (I hear nobody ask.)
Well, earlier my brother very thoughtfully paused a 10gb No Man's Sky update because I was in meetings and he didn't want to disrupt the network, and had to play a different game instead. Will we make it through these challenges? Time will tell.

I have really enjoyed the DID WG not-face-to-face meetings this week. I still feel pretty lost in most of this, but looking back to almost two years ago when this started, I have learnt so much about so many topics I wasn't expecting to ever know anything about because of this work. I appreciate everyone in this group.
Unending gratitude to manu and others at Digital Bazaar for supporting me - financially, educationally and emotionally - to work in this stuff in the first place.
(It's been challenging at times, but not as emotionally fraught or generally stressful as the Social Web WG was. Maybe most of that is because I've grown since then, though, and also because it hasn't consumed my entire life like SWWG did..)

When I'm at IRL W3C face-to-face meetings my dreams are full of the participants every night for like a week, and it took longer to get started but turns out online ones are the same.

Week in review: Open Data in the community
17th December - 23rd December
Mostly things not strictly PhD related...
18th - Initial meeting about organising a hack for undergraduates during Innovative Learning Week in February
19th - Discussed how local small scale community groups can benefit from Open
Data, and how they could get involved in the ILW hack, with Freda O'Bryne and
Euan Jackson.
\\\\- Also discussed these things with Ewan, and started on a spreadsheet of decent apps that use Open Data, and links to their data sources.
