Week in review: 20th - 26th November

Wrote.
Some incredible skies.
Finished Daemon Voices and Against a Dark Background.
Started Vurt.
Took myself for an afternoon in Burntisland; groceries from G&S and a not-cheese toastie at The Fix.
Overworked.
Made pear and almond cake in the Community Kitchen, and mapo tofu at home.
Dealt with a lot of tomatoes.
Explosion of fungus gnat and aphid populations in my living room is starting to test my nonviolent gardening style.
Learnt some lessons about buttercream (and baking when tired).
Saw a giant moth on the promenade, but not the moon, because clouds came.
Swam in the sea twice, once in Pittenweem.

Turned a haul of cemetery agricus into mushroom rice.

Made a good lasagne using veg from the garden, and fermented more tomatoes and beans.

Took the compote that wouldn't fit in the jars, spread it out on sheets in the dryer. It dried out perfectly into a sticky-but-not-too-sticky fruit leather, as hoped, which we can roll up and store indefinitely!

Week in review: 25th September - 1st October

Most of the week in Birmingham, for the coop CoGM and OGM. Which went well, but was exhausting, and obviously yielded/highlighted more work to do.
Back for harvest and bottling.
Finished Dying of the Light.
More harvest.
Sunrises. Swam in the sea.

Bottled the absurd amount of produce from the garden. Tomatoes, courgette. The blackcurrants have been waiting in the freezer for the apples - made gallons of compote.

Week in review: 18th - 24th September

Had a lovely day of touristing in Tanger with new friends followed by a restful morning before the ferry back to Spain and buses onwards to Gibraltar.
Climbed the Rock of Gibraltar at sunrise. Then got back on buses and trains, to Barcelona then Cardedeu to see B.
Another one and a half days of trains, a brief stop by the Prewired 10 year anniversary celebration, and home.
Finished A Fire Upon The Deep.
Harvested the garden..
Swam in the sea. Tried to catch up on life..
Dad and Ruth came.
