Departure from visiting H, onwards to Belgium

- Had a lovely day of touristing in Tanger with new friends followed by a restful morning before the ferry back to Spain and buses onwards to Gibraltar.
- Climbed the Rock of Gibraltar at sunrise. Then got back on buses and trains, to Barcelona then Cardedeu to see B.
- Another one and a half days of trains, a brief stop by the Prewired 10 year anniversary celebration, and home.
- Finished A Fire Upon The Deep.
- Harvested the garden..
- Swam in the sea. Tried to catch up on life..
- Dad and Ruth came.
- Down to Wortley for our whole-Co-op in-person meeting. Wandered the fields, and worked hard.
- To my Mum's for recovery. Made a bakewell tart.
- Watched Triangle of Sadness.
- Finished Matter, started Inversions.

My sister knows how to entertain me when I visit: she left me an undecorated cake to adorn. We also made several other tasty meals between us.

H and J came for a visit. They sent their Lake District weather on ahead - as soon as they left their house it started drizzling. That didn't stop us from helping K with roof-related tasks, or going for a swim in waves that are far too big for me to brave on my own. J spent several hours making gnocchi, and we wanted the new Indiana Jones movie. We also had brunch at Roots & Seeds.

Against all the odds, high tides and big waves this week restored the beach to more or less how it had been pre-babet. Obviously the bank that washed away was never coming back, but the steps down to the beach are accessible again!
Dave and H came back briefly on their way home from China, leaving a trail of teas and tiny pandas in their wake >.>

To Mum's for the weekend to recover post-Wortley. Went to a quilting fare, walked in the woods. Lunches at Denstone Farm Shop and The Ramblers. But mostly, sitting around and bananagrams.
