How to contact me (or not)
My phone is a bit broken, and even when it's having a good day I'm often without a data connection and dependent on wifi to be online. This affects the mechanism by which it is easiest to reach me. You may also look at where I am to infer the options. Good luck.
Signal
Signal is an encrypted direct messaging app for mobile and desktop. It's like WhatsApp, but not owned by Facebook, and works when my phone is dead. The mobile number currently registered to signal starts +44 and ends 54. If you don't have it and you would like to send me a Signal message, send me an encrypted email to ask for my number.
My first generation Fairphone 1 is now too old to support Signal for Android (and I can't put another OS on it because the USB port is broken), which means I only use Signal on desktop. If I'm afk you will have to wait for a response.

- will I eventually reply even if I don't see it straight away: yes.
IRC
I'm rhiaro on IRC and sit on Libera Chat, irc.imaginarynet.org.uk, and irc.w3.org. I usually have a client open, definitely during the work day. This is a pretty reliable way to reach me.

My email address is amy@rhiaro.co.uk and here is my PGP key. This is a good way to reach me if you don't need a fast response (you might get one, but don't count on it). My emails are poorly filtered and organised, and my spam filter is overly aggressive. If I don't reply within a week and it's important, email me again or ping me some other way.

SMS
If you have a phone number for me that starts +44 and ends 54, you could send me an SMS. If I'm in the UK this is a pretty reliable way to reach me. If you have another number for me, the SIM is probably not in my phone, or switched off. I only give this number out to people I meet IRL.

Mastodon
I check my account at @rhiaro@toot.cat every couple of days at least. You can send me public or private messages there. If I have the tab open, I'll get a push notification. I do not have a mobile app. I also control @rhiaro@w3c.social but I look at that less frequently.
- push notifications: sometimes
- desktop: yes
- phone: maybe
- will I eventually reply even if I don't see it straight away: very likely
I am @rhiaro on Twitter but I don't check it reliably. Sometimes Twitter suspends my account for no reason. This is not a very good way to reach me any more. Consider getting a Mastodon account on a server you trust. I do not have a mobile app.

Viber
If you have the right number, you might catch me on Viber, which still works on old Android and consistently on desktop. Worth a shot?

I don't have WhatsApp, Facebook, or Instagram.

Slack and Gitter
In the past you may have interacted with me on Slack or Gitter. I'm not very likely at all to see a message on Gitter. I'll see a message on the W3C Slack, but unless you're interacting with me about a TAG-related thing I'd ask you to use some other means.
Phone call
If you have a phone number for me that starts +44 and ends 54, you could call me. If I'm in the UK, and I recognise your number, and I'm not in the middle of something, I may answer. But I might not. Ideally, just text me. Do not leave a voicemail, I will never ever listen to it.

Snail mail
As of 2021 I have a postal address in the UK but you'd need a pretty good reason to ask me what it is.
In person
I'm pretty public about what events or cities I'm going to be in and when. If we might overlap IRL, we can probably hang out, depending on who you are. Send me a message using one of the above ways to find out.
